TACO!

Hey Everyone:
So this week I have another 1 slow cooker.... 3 meal deal!
The Recipe is for Taco Filling

1 lb. Ground Turkey/Ground Beef (Grass fed)
1 16 oz. can petite diced tomatos
1 16 oz. can tomato sauce (no salt added)
1 16 oz. can of black beans (low sodium)
1 tbsp. chili powder (depending how much spice you want)
2 tbsp. cumin
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1/2 cup diced onion
3 tbsp. brown sugar (I use the splenda blend)

Brown Turkey/Beef in frying pan. Add onions and saute.
Combine all incredients in slow cooker and turn on low for 5 to 8 hours.

Meal One: Tacos and Salad (don't forget to add the letuce, avocado, salsa, low fat cheese, fat free sour cream, etc. I like to make a little side salad with olive oil vinagrette to go with it!

Meal Two: Taco Salad (You only need about 1/3 to 1/2 cup of taco filling for this and then add with a few tortila chips. Make you own they are super easy....Use either hard taco shells and break apart and toast in the oven or use soft tortillas and toast in oven with a little pam spray. We use hard shells normally because we will buy them for the previous meal. You don't have to use the taco fillign right away - you can always freeze for later in the week.

Meal Three: Chili Mac (Feel free to make this on the first meal and freeze till ready to bake. If making for two people use 1 cup of whole wheat elbow pasta (cooked for about 5 minutes then drained) and the remaining mixture. Combine both ingredients into freezer/oven safe dish and sprinkle with fat free chedder cheese. Bake in oven when ready for about 30-40 minutes on 350 degrees.

Enjoy Everyone!

Training Tip of the Day: Scissor crunch! Great core strengthening exercise. The lower you do the scissor portion to the floor the harder it is! Look it up and do some!
