Hey Everyone:
If you love homemade meatloaf you will definitely love this recipe!
Meatloaf for the slow cooker!
1 lb. of grass fed ground beef (You can use turkey - but half it with ground beef or else it will be a little dry.
1/2 cup of old fashioned oats
1 tbsp. of garlic powder
2 to 3 tbsp. of minced onion (I use dry and it works out really well - if you want to use fresh it will be about 1/4 of a cup, but you need to saute it first.
1 tbsp. of dried thyme
1/2 tbsp of dried sage
About 1/4 cup of egg whites ( I use substitute - you can use regular egg substitute as well)
Combine all ingredients and make into loaf shape and place in slow cooker.
Now for the glaze....
Combine 1/2 cup of ketchup, 3 tbsp. of Dijon mustard (estimate it for best results), 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp. of brown sugar. Mix together and coat the meatloaf with the mixture.
cook on low for 5 to 8 hours.... ENJOY!
Don't forget leftovers... Meatloaf Sandwich anyone?
